This was the inaugural event for the NJDBAC which was held at BMS Headquarters in New Jersey and spearheaded by the NJ Pride Chamber of Commerce
Leadership of the NJDBAC had the opportunity to discuss the launch of the disparity study and to discuss next steps with the administration to create a pathway forward. We made it clear that the NJDBAC wants to be part of the solution to help small & diverse businesses increase procurement opportunities with the state.
It's important to the NJDBAC that we continue the dialog with the Murphy Administration and lay out expectation that we expect from the state to improve procurement with diverse businesses.
We are happy to be working with the FIFA Host Committee to work on getting our 20,000 diverse businesses that we represent consideration for procurement opportunities for the upcoming World Cup. We will be conducting monthly meetings to continue to fight for diverse businesses.

Various leaders of the NJDBAC joined the pride chamber for their annual brunch and to celebrate the upcoming legislation that will permanently codify LGBTQ+ owned businesses in the state of New Jersey. That will put New Jersey as the first state in the nation to enact such a law.
